With having two daughters at Woodcroft Academy (Year 1 and Year 3), I am excited to have been elected as Parent Governor. I look back on my time at school with fond memories; the friendships, the school trips, but mostly the staff who made it all accessible to me.  As a SENDCo at one of the local high schools, helping young people overcome different barriers to reach their potential has always been important to me, ensuring that as many are able to have as many positive experiences and opportunities as possible. When the opportunity arises for some downtime, I am often found with one of my records on and tinkering with my Lego, taking myself off to the cinema, or going for a nice long run in the fresh air.
